Day 6 - What I am Grateful for in Katy TX - Service Men and Women

Debbie Reynolds created a 10 day ActiveRain challenge concerning writing posts about what we are Grateful/Thankful for in our lives. This is my fourth post in this challenge and I have many things to be extremely grateful for in my life. My posts will not be in any type of order. Some posts will be much longer than others.

I am very Grateful and Thankful for all the military men and women who are serving this great nation right now and also for all the Veterans living, or passed away or who made the ultimate sacrifice. I feel grateful for all the associated families of these service people who made it possible for these folks to serve our country. All of us owe these folks respect, honor, gratitude and thanks for they have done so all the rest of us can live our lives in freedom.

The world is a dangerous place and this country has numerous enemies who would love to destroy our nation. A strong Military is absolutely needed for this country to keep on as it has since its creation.

We include all the service people in any special occasion when we have a group prayer before starting our dinner at our home. Yolanda and I as I have said in other posts will go up to Veterans and current military individuals and tell them Thanks for your service. Each time the face of these individuals light up with a huge smile and say thanks back to us. Try it sometime and see what reaction you get!

Our military do a great job at keeping us safe . . . . and make many sacrifices to do it for us.

Good luck and success.

At Christmas I also think of the those other service people who work tirelessly. Those would be people like maids, garbage men, firemen, policemen, and the like. The world would not be a good place without them.
