Bob Gilbert's Katy Blog: Signs in the Forest - You Never what You Will Find!

Signs in the Forest - You Never what You Will Find!

Signs in the Forest - You Never what You Will Find!

During early September 2016 we were very lucky to travel from Katy TX to both Germantown NY and New York City. One morning we all took a hike in the woods that surround our friends two homes. After all this election mumbo jumbo that went on for months on end plus the election aftermath of protests I thought a little less serious stuff should be in order today.

I have always said let sleeping Bears lie.. Reality is Bears are very light sleepers and can tell immediately when someone or something is near them..

It is always a good thing to know how far you are from Austin, TX!

Yes I would definitely leave sleeping bears to sleep in peace.

I guess I would rather come across the sign than the bear!

Bob, we hit a bear that was crossing the road at the time we were driving by ... killed the bear and totaled our SUV.  Great sign and photo.

So true we never know what signs that we will find in the forest . . . . But I know that we should never wake ups sleeping bear.

Good luck and success.

That's a nice little collection of forest signs, Bob!  I especially like that "Bear Sleeping" sign.  That'd make a hiker think!

Good morning Bob.  Now, someone in that forest has a great sense of humor.

What was that line about what a bear does in the woods?

Those are very cool signs and I certainly would not want to wake a sleeping bear, haha.

Thnak you all for your comments. These signs were pretty interesting but the woods were even better. No bears .. Thank you LORD..

Fun post.  Hopefully the signage will not catch on to the point of becoming a grafitti filled forest area.  Mark
