Harvest Green Hosts Grand Opening March 2016

Harvest Green Hosts Grand Opening March 2016

Harvest Green is a new neighborhood in Richmond TX. which is physically located between Katy and Sugarland. The news release for the neighborhood states it is 9.6 miles from La Centerra at Cinco Ranch and 9.8 miles from Sugar Land Town Square. This is area is still considered to be out in the country while neither Katy ( surrounding area) or Sugarland can make that claim anymore. I think it will take several more years before this area gets heavily developed.

Harvest Green is hosting it’s Grand Opening on Saturday March 12, 2016 from 1 PM till 5 PM and on Sunday March 13, 2016 from 1 PM till 4 PM. There are 11 brand new model homes to tour. The Grand Opening will feature many things including live music, farmers market, pig roast, face  painting, 6 bounce house/inflatables, petting zoo, balloon artists and food & drinks created by local chefs from food trucks.  Admission and parking are at no charge. Lots of things to do, see and eat at this Grand Opening.

Live music will be played by The Revis from 1 PM till 3 PM on Saturday; Kevin Black from 3 :15 till 5 PM on Saturday; and The Spazmatics on Sunday from 1:15 PM till 4 PM.

Homes are priced from the $250,000 to over $500,000. The builders include David Weekley Homes, D.R. Horton Homes, Darling Homes, Highland Homes, Plantation Homes, Newmark Homes, Meritage Homes, Perry homes, Trendmaker Homes, Lennar and Westin Homes.  This is an excellent group of builders to choose from to build your dream home.

Children will attend Fort Bend ISD schools which now include Oakland Elementary, James Bowie Jr. High School and  Travis High School. A new neighborhood Elementary School is scheduled to open in 2017.

Harvest Green is a Master Planned community comprised of 1,300 acres with 280 acres of Green Belts and open spaces. In addition there will be 30 acres of lakes and waterways, 50 acres of parkland, walkable trail system and a center roundabout for meeting friends and family.

I have not had an opportunity to visit this new open community but I will shortly. This will be the first Master Planned Community in the Houston area with its own on-site farm and with homes which include backyard growing gardens. this sound intriguing to me. How about You?
