Shade Gardening Presented by Nottingham Country Garden Club Katy
The Nottingham Country Garden Club will feature Elizabeth Barrow as a guest speaker at its monthly meeting being held on Thursday November 5, 2015 . The meet and greet time is at 9:30 AM which will be followed by the main program at 10 AM. This club holds its meetings at the Municipal Utility Building , NO 81 , which is located at 805 Hidden Canyon Dr. Katy Texas. The topic of Ms. Barrow’s talk, which caught my eye and attention, will be “Shade Gardening”.
Her talk will cover the plus and minus aspects of shade gardening as well as the extreme difficulties which everyone encounters when attempting to garden in the shade. The discussion will cover design principles and tell folks about some shade plants which can be grown in this area of Katy/Houston.
Elizabeth Barrow is a longtime local resident and gardener plus she use to be the owner of a garden center located in Rosenberg Tx. area. She has professional accreditation as she is a Texas Certified Nursery Professional and a Fort Bend County Master Gardener.
The garden club has open attendance as it is inviting all gardeners in West Houston and Katy who have an interest in gardening and or gardening related topics to attend their meetings/events. Attendees do not have to live in Nottingham Country in order to attend.
If you like to garden and want to further your education this is a meeting and talk you will not want to miss. You may even decide to join the garden club.
